Deborah D. Douglas is a senior lecturer and director of the newly created Midwest Solutions Journalism Hub at Northwestern University. She is a founding editor in chief of The Emancipator, a digital platform that reimagines abolitionist newspapers for a new day.
Amanda Ripley is a New York Times bestselling author, an investigative journalist and the co-founder of Good Conflict, LLC.
