Screening of the film Madan Sara followed by a Q&A with the film's director Etant Dupain.
The women known as Madan Sara in Haiti works tirelessly to buy, distribute, and sell food and other essentials in markets throughout the economy. Despite the obstacles faced by the women working in a critically underfunded and overlooked economic section, the Madan Sara continue to be one of the most crucial parts of the Haitian economy. This documentary tells the stories of these women.
