Spring Linocut Workshop (Collins) In-Person

Create beautiful linocut prints at the Collins Branch!

In this class students will be introduced to the printmaking process of linocut. The class will cover techniques in carving linoleum, composition, ink mixing, and printing. At their own pace students will learn how to create a design and carve it in linoleum using carving tools. Students will learn how to ink and print their linoleum blocks by hand. No experience necessary. Registration is required.

Brooke Lambert is a professional printmaker and painter with a passionate interest and dedication to the arts, teaching, arts organizing and public art initiatives. She grew up and lived in Maine before moving to Boston to pursue her BFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Since graduating in 2017, Brooke has shown her work widely in New England, New York, and beyond. You can see Brooke’s work in Studio 447 at Western Avenue Studios & Lofts in her current city of Lowell, MA. She is currently represented by galleries Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition in New York. Brooke is represented by Akua Inks and Speedball Art Products as part of their Professional Artists’ Network.
