Surfing the Web: An Intro to HTML/CSS and Internet Creativity (Main)

Surfing the Web: An Intro to HTML/CSS and Internet Creativity (Main) In-Person

With social media’s omnipotent presence, the internet can feel so boundless and cramped at the same time. So many people feel tied to major social media platforms with no feasible alternative. This class is about curating a more personalized online experience, making simple websites with basic HTML/CSS, and making an online presence without the goal of profit or engagement. We will also take a look to the personal sites & blogs of the 2000s, along with internet forums and communities leading to the social media boom, along with some modern websites & efforts to recreate the internet of that era.

This workshop does not require any prior coding experience.
