Space Science Engagement Initiatives with the Harvard College Observatory (Main) In-Person
Dive into a captivating array of interactive activities, including a 6-foot-wide gravity well that visually demonstrates the curvature of spacetime around massive objects. Marvel at genuine meteorites and rocks from space, and peer through telescopes to get a closer look at celestial wonders. The Harvard College Observatory and their Outreach team will highlight its groundbreaking work at the Center for Astrophysics | Harvard & Smithsonian (CfA).
The Harvard College Observatory (HCO) will also provide comprehensive information on our public engagement initiatives, showcasing how the CfA connects with the community to inspire and educate the next generation of scientists and astronomers. The HCO's goal is to bring the wonders of the universe to life, fostering curiosity and a deeper understanding of the cosmos.
This event is part of Cambridge Science Festival, a celebration showcasing the leading edge in science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM). A multifaceted, multicultural event, the Festival makes science accessible, interactive and fun, highlighting the impact of STEAM in all our lives.
