Júlio Santos is a Brazilian Percussionist from São Paulo and based in Boston, MA. He graduated in 2016 from Berklee College of Music, and currently works as teacher at the Saint Anthony School in Everett, MA, and as teaching artist for AFLMA's Expanded Arts Access residencies. With the Sulinha Trio, Julio performs weekly in libraries around Boston in a thrilling project focused on children’s cognitive development in interactive performances. In Brazil, Julio Graduated at Souza Lima College, attended and paraded with Mocidade Alegre and Rosas de Ouro Samba Schools and was part of the before/after school program called Menino’s do Morumbi where he started as a student and then became a music instructor. More than 5,000 children of all ages went to Meninos do Morumbi to learn music as a tool against poverty and social exclusion.
