Eileen McNamara in Conversation with Mark Feeney

Eileen McNamara will discuss her 2018 title, Eunice, the Kennedy who Changed the World with Mark Feeney. This event is part of the Our Path Foward Series.

Eileen McNamara and Mark Feeney are both natives of North Cambridge. Eileen spent most of her career as a journalist at The Boston Globe, where she won a Pulitzer Prize for Commentary and contributed to the newspaper's award-winning coverage of the clergy sex abuse scandal in the Catholic Church, chronicled in the Oscar-winning movie Spotlight. She is now director of the Journalism Program at Brandeis University where she was the recipient of the Louis Brandeis Prize for Excellence in Teaching. Mark Feeney has been employed by The Boston Globe for almost forty years. He has variously worked as a researcher in the library, an arts writer, book review editor, movies editor, visual arts editor, and staff writer at The Boston Globe Magazine. A lecturer in American Studies at Brandeis, he has also taught at Boston College, Brown, Princeton, and Yale. The University of Chicago Press published his Nixon at the Movies: A Book about Belief in 2004. He also has the lead essay in Cambridge Voices, the book the library put out to celebrate the new building.
