Race Recovery Series: Racial Trauma In-Person

 

Presented by the Cambridge Health Alliance.

The Race Recovery Series was created as a result of years of discussions between black leaders looking to celebrate and examine the triumphs of the black community against the backdrop of racism. The discussions provide a space for examination and interpretation of healthy responses to racial stress for individuals of color. We will explore the social construct of race from historical and contemporary perspectives. Examining the negative impact of race in a framework that allows not only for a reflection on the reality of its emotional, financial and spiritual devastation but also the strategies to break from it. All are welcome particularly students, clergy, families, community leaders, civic activist, treatment providers and area developers seeking to advance the wellness of the black community are encouraged to attend.
