Author Susan Kuklin, We Are Here to Stay  In-Person

Join acclaimed photographer and journalist Susan Kuklin for a discussion of the complexities of immigration and its effects on young people. Kuklin’s eye-opening book, We Are Here to Stay: Voices of Undocumented Young Adults, offers the enlightening, honest, and brave accounts of nine young immigrants to the US. They came from Colombia, Mexico, Ghana, Independent Samoa, and Korea. They came seeking education, fleeing violence, and escaping poverty. All have heartbreaking and hopeful stories about leaving their homelands and starting a new life in America. And all are weary of living in the shadows.

Kuklin will be joined in conversation by Pilar, one of the subjects of the book, and by an expert on immigration law from Cambridge’s De Novo Center for Justice and Healing.
