Muslim American Hip-Hop Artist Amirah Sackett In-Person
Join Amirah Sackett an internationally recognized hip-hop dancer, choreographer, and teacher, who explores and embodies her Muslim American identity through combining hip-hop movement and Islamic themes. Amirah will discuss her work combating Islamophobia, her love of hip-hop culture, and share some moves with the audience!
Amirah is in residency with The Dance Complex, 536 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge, October 14-19, 2019. Her residency includes talks, performances, and rehearsals throughout Cambridge including performing in Routes & Roots October 18 & 19, 2019 at The Dance Complex.
