CPL CRAFTS: Grocery Store Natural Dyeing with Stephen Hamilton

Natural dyeing is a rewarding way to engage with textiles and traditions. There are numerous natural dyes to explore right in your local grocery store! Local artist and educator Stephen Hamilton's work incorporates both Western and African techniques. Hamilton will teach you how to naturally dye at home, demonstrating how to transform your textiles using interesting and accessible natural dye sources!
Stephen Hamilton is an artist and arts educator living and working in Boston Massachusetts. Stephen’s work incorporates both Western and African techniques, blending figurative painting and drawing with resist dyeing, weaving, and woodcarving. Each image is a marriage between the aesthetic perspectives and artistry of both traditions. Learn more about Stephen here: http://www.itanproject.com/
