The Hope Storytelling Project: Finding Unity in Diversity

The Hope Storytelling Project: Finding Unity in Diversity In-Person

It is more important than ever to encourage solidarity and unity with one another and marginalized groups, with a mindset of understanding, openness, and tolerance. In this workshop, we would like to adopt this mindset of finding unity in diversity through the lens of poetry, an art form that despite its longevity, is continually fluid and diverse. We hope to offer participants a window into the world’s of other viewpoints and that you leave feeling connected and drawn deeper into the connections that make us human, and to the richness of the lived experiences we all have. Hosted and taught by Harvard students: David Xiang and Alisha Yi. No prior experience in poetry needed. Everyone is welcome!
David Xiang served as a National Student Poet, the nation's highest honor for youth poets, appointed by President Obama’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities. Appointed by the U.S. Department of Education and YoungArts Foundation, Alisha Yi is a 2018 US Presidential Scholar for Poetry.
