In Minor Feelings, poet and essayist Cathy Park Hong fearlessly and provocatively blends memoir, cultural criticism, and history to expose fresh truths about racialized consciousness in America. Cathy Park Hong is the poetry editor of the New Republic and a full professor at Rutgers-Newark University. Her New York Times bestselling book of creative nonfiction, Minor Feelings, was published in Spring 2020 by One World/Random House and Profile Books (UK). Minor Feelings won the National Book Critics Circle Award for autobiography and was longlisted for the Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence. Hong is the recipient of the Windham-Campbell Prize, the Guggenheim Fellowship, and a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship. Her prose and poetry have been published in the New York Times, New Republic, the Guardian, Paris Review, Poetry, and elsewhere.

Courtney Sato is an interdisciplinary scholar of twentieth-century US intellectual and cultural history, Asian American Studies, and critical race and gender studies and a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Charles Warren Center for Studies in American History at Harvard University. She holds a Ph.D. in American Studies from Yale University and an M.Phil in Modern South Asian Studies from the University of Cambridge. Sato teaches in the fields of Asian American Studies; US intellectual and cultural history; Transpacific Studies; and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies.
