CPL International Briefing: Crisis in Ethiopia: What is to Be Done? with Professor Alex DeWaal (Virtual) In-Person
In 2019, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed received the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to achieve peace and international cooperation and for his decisive initiative to resolve the border conflict with neighboring Eritrea. But simmering tensions with the Tigray People’s Liberation Front escalated into war last year with long term implications for domestic and regional stability in the horn of Africa. Join Alex De Waal, human rights activist, professor, and Executive Director of the World Peace Foundation at Tufts University, for a discussion of the crisis in Ethiopia.
